Vote For Sadie for the Hero Dog Award was a huge success

Sadie was the winner in her category at the American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards and as such received a $5000 donation for the National Fire Dog Monument Fund. This has put us on the downhill side toward the finish line for sufficient funds to set the monument in Washington D.C. Betty White was much impressed with Sadie and came to personally congratulate her at the Awards Ceremony as you can see from the picture. Sadie and her handler, CBI agent Jerry Means were asked to be National Ambassadors to the American Humane Association and were accepted as members of the AHA National Response Team that goes into disaster areas (think Katrina) to assist the animals. The picture shows them on their first ambassadorship trip to New York City. We are very proud of them and extremely grateful to all of you.
